The old dirty dog, sorry, let me start again. Trump has been making claims of election fraud since at least 2016, when he first alleged the GOP primary was “rigged” against him. His fraud claims then escalated dramatically after the 2020 election and have continued in various forms ever since. So back in 2016 many Americans gave him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe it might be possible. Throughout the 2016 general election, Trump repeatedly suggested that the election could be rigged against him. The First Red Alert: After winning, he still claimed—without evidence—that millions of illegal votes had been cast for Hillary Clinton.
The Second Red Alert: November 2020: After Joe Biden was declared the winner, Trump refused to concede and launched a sweeping set of fraud allegations. These claims escalated into: Dozens of lawsuits (all unsuccessful) Pressure campaigns on state officials, attempts to overturn results in key states. The events leading up to January 6, 2021
Third Red Alert: And yet lo and behold no evidence of widespread fraud according to both State and federal judges—including some appointed by Trump—rejected dozens of lawsuits challenging the 2020 results. State election officials, both Republican and Democrat, publicly stated that they found no evidence of outcome‑changing fraud. Trump’s own Department of Homeland Security called the 2020 election “the most secure in American history.” He has continued to assert that the 2020 election was stolen, even though investigations, audits, and recounts did not support those claims. This bullshit of victimhood is the backbone of every speech he makes to this day.
But, why should it matter what President “Grand Pa” thinks or says?
Whether you agree or disagree with him, the persistence of these claims has had major effects on the American psyche. It has started to erode trust in our elections, It causes political polarization. A mutt called Trump has fucked up this nation politicly and socially. His playbook has never changed. Get away with as much as you can and then take more. He wants us at each other's neck; he would love nothing more than to see a civil war break out “red states vs. blue states”.
How and why does Trump keep getting away with lying?
Fourth Red Alert: Trump keeps repeating false fraud claims because they strengthen his political identity, his supporters often prefer to believe him, and U.S. political systems rarely punish repeated falsehoods. Courts, fact‑checkers, and officials have rejected the claims, but political incentives make them persist. Admitting the truth would threaten their group identity or political power.
People choose loyalty over accuracy. With that said:
