And You Tell Me, Over & Over Again

The Real Cost of Those Eggs pt.80

The problem here it’s not just the Eastern world, and you don’t need to be steeped in the ways of Politics. To see what’s going on.

Let’s take a day in the life of I don’t know it could be you it could be me. Oh, that smell of your morning coffee you might want to add another spoon of sugar to swallow the 33% increase, yeah but you need that morning jolt to get things going. Oh good, the kids are up and getting dressed. Time to check with your childcare provider which went up 24%.

Let's load the family car pending what you are driving, whether it’s new or used, well you can read the graph or, ask your wallet.

Don’t forget to get gas, you can only drive on E for so long. Time for work.

You notice that your working colleague of 7 years has been let go. Your mind slips back to that lunch meeting of 2 weeks ago when you heard that the company due to economic slowdown is going to start to adjust labor costs. In other words, “layoffs” oh shit!

Now driving home, in your head your thinking of how to sign up for unemployment, you will join job forums like Headhunters, Zip Recruiter, you dream up a budget on how a family of 4 can live cheaply. OH Shit!!

Before you make that final turn home, you forgot you have to buy milk and food for your home and don’t forget the cat litter. OH SHIT!!!

The best part of this day in the life is what you hear from your government. What did he say? When was the time he went shopping?

How can he spew this bullshit? Who believes this guy?

I have no answers but if you find yourself in the above situation, couple things to pull you though:

Slow down: Breath, believe it or not it will get through it. As much as it looks like the end of the world it’s nothing but a pothole on the road to your next smile.

Enjoy the challenge: Before you say, “fuckoff Joe” Understand you are not going to get everything you lost back in one day. You will send out 20 resumes and maybe you get 2 callbacks. Celebrate your call backs, these little things are steps on your way to hope, \they should make you smile for a moment, breathe. Learn from your callbacks, add them together, make them work for you. Tomorrow is another day.

You're not alone: One of the most important things you must remember. Look around the whole world is screwed up, many many more families are living through the same thing you are. Now this is very little satisfaction but, if your car payment is a few days late, fuck ‘em. When times get tough as long as you call all your debaters and explain what's going on. You will find that as long as you keep everybody in the loop of your financial situation companies will work with you.

Just Breath, it’s going to be alright
