Q. Some of the things President-elect Trump is planning for his second term are far beyond the differences between Democrats and Republicans and I firmly believe they are illegal. Can we sue him?
A. private citizen can sue the president for conduct carried out before his inauguration, or which is genuinely independent of the presidential office. A private citizen cannot validly sue the president, however, when he is acting on the authority of the office of the president. If that is the case, the president is protected by the doctrine of absolute immunity.
This question comes up from the comments I received after I posted the question, “Why do Trump and his supporters want to burn democracy down?” So for the ones who are calling me sour grapes or looser. And some comments, well I can’t post.
Hold on I'm not questioning a free and fair election, and yes Trump did win the majority of the total votes on election day. Trump is also doing what he promised during his campaign.
My point is to LOOK at the people he is picking for his cabinet. Are we to believe that these people are going to help keep, America safe? Or is it just for him to get retribution for the 2020 election that he knows he lost, but just wants to keep the big lie going anyway?
If one woman in Florida can get books banned, would this not be a better road to pursue?
Your Thoughts?
