The Real Cost of Those Eggs pt.32
Outside of our dumb ass Trump, I’m getting sick and tired of hearing people like you and me, bitching “oh those immigrants cause all the crime” or “I felt much safer before THOSE people crawled across the border”
In the year 2025 you would think by now that people like you and me would look before they leap. Put another way: READ BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH. I would understand if this was 30 or 40 years ago when researching something took time and effort. Now though shall we say a miracle thing called Google, it takes seconds to sound like you know what you are talking about, not a headline on Fox.

Oh Look! Research consistently shows that immigrants—regardless of legal status—commit crimes at lower rates than U.S.-born citizens. A 2024 report from the Migration Policy Institute found that immigrants are significantly less likely to be incarcerated for violent, property, or drug-related offenses. In fact, U.S.-born citizens were:
10 times more likely to be incarcerated for weapons offenses
5 times more likely for violent crimes
More than twice as likely for property and drug offenses
