The Real Cost of Those Eggs pt.32

Outside of our dumb ass Trump, I’m getting sick and tired of hearing people like you and me, bitching “oh those immigrants cause all the crime” or “I felt much safer before THOSE people crawled across the border”

In the year 2025 you would think by now that people like you and me would look before they leap. Put another way: READ BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH. I would understand if this was 30 or 40 years ago when researching something took time and effort. Now though shall we say a miracle thing called Google, it takes seconds to sound like you know what you are talking about, not a headline on Fox.

I know thinking for ourselves went out the window as far back as the introduction of The Christian Front which was a far-right anti-Semitic political association active in the United States from 1938 to 1940, started in response to radio priest Charles Coughlin. The Christian Front was mainly based in New York City and many of its members were Irish and German American Catholics.

Then Ronald Reagan's FCC abolished the Fairness Doctrine which, since 1949, required the media to present both sides' opinions in the rare event they weren't just reporting straight news. A Democrat-controlled Congress passed a bill to re-instate the Fairness Doctrine in 1987. Reagan vetoed the bill.

Then Rush Limbaugh blew the doors off anything that even resembles the truth and yes, my friends that's how we got Orange Glow in the white house, the first time, For the second time “look yourself in the mirror". And may God have mercy on your soul.

Now let’s use that Google machine and see who causes more crime?

Keep reading:

Oh Look! Research consistently shows that immigrants—regardless of legal status—commit crimes at lower rates than U.S.-born citizens. A 2024 report from the Migration Policy Institute found that immigrants are significantly less likely to be incarcerated for violent, property, or drug-related offenses. In fact, U.S.-born citizens were:

  • 10 times more likely to be incarcerated for weapons offenses

  • 5 times more likely for violent crimes

  • More than twice as likely for property and drug offenses

This trend holds true across decades and even centuries. A Stanford study analyzing 140 years of U.S. Census data found that immigrants have consistently had equal or lower incarceration rates than native-born Americans since at least 1880.

So, while immigration is often politicized in discussions about crime, the data paints a very different—and more nuanced—picture.? You mean little Johnny is causing more crime than pequeño Pedro? Si or yes

Life can get pretty scary, but when you have the truth on your side
