The Real Cost of Those Eggs pt.64
“I think we're close to making a deal” Is it me or does it seem like every other day with President Mumbles, were close, we are really close, then Putin says, “Nyet” allow me to translate that to easy English “Fuck Off”
My question here is why does Russia the aggressor, they invaded Ukraine, they started this war, yet somehow, they have the final word on the peace process? Trump has no problems acting tough with Ukraine, our trading partners, hell his own people. Under Trump’s leadership the U.S. has taken steps that critics say align more with Russian interests, such as limiting U.S. support to Ukraine, pausing some aid or military assistance, and opposing strong punitive measures at times, But why?
During the mid-1980s, the Soviet government was looking for Western business partners to bring modern hotels, luxury retail, and foreign currency into the USSR. Soviet representatives in the U.S. approached Trump about potential hotel projects in Moscow and Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). This was pretty typical: the USSR often courted Western developers, entertainers, and investors as part of “perestroika”-era engagement.
Trump Moscow 1987: He was invited by a Soviet government-linked tourism agency called In tourist, which often handled foreign VIP visits. Trump and Ivana Trump (his wife at the time) traveled to Moscow and Leningrad. He toured potential sites for a luxury hotel project. The USSR covered much of the trip’s expenses, which was standard for business prospects they wanted to attract. Later in 1987, Trump bought full-page newspaper ads criticizing U.S. allies for relying on American defense spending.
Personal admiration / “strong-man” respect: Some analysts argue that Trump admires strong-man leaders — and sees Putin as embodying a kind of decisiveness and power that appeals to him. The Washington Post+1
Transactional / deal-making approach: Trump is known for viewing politics and diplomacy as deals. A rapprochement with Russia might be driven by perceived economic or strategic payoffs — trade, energy, reduced tensions — especially if he views them as mutually beneficial. Favoring Russian overtures or pushing for deals may reflect a strategy of reducing commitments (e.g. in Europe or NATO) or avoiding further entanglement, especially in ongoing wars.
Speaking of War
As you know America, yes America has been blowing boats out of the water in the Caribbean since the beginning of September. Trump is calling them Narco terrorists, and of course in the traditional Trump way, no proof at all of any of the above statements. More broadly: Between 2017 and 2021 (during Trump’s first term), his administration granted pardons or commuted sentences for “at least 13 people convicted on federal drug charges,” including individuals linked to major trafficking rings or violent drug operations.
Larry Hoover — a long-time gang leader associated with drug-trafficking activity. Reports indicate that in 2025, under Trump’s presidency, clemency was granted to individuals like Hoover convicted on federal drug charge. This has drawn further criticism given Hoover’s reputation and the violent history tied to his gangs,
Ross Ulbricht — the founder of the dark-web marketplace Silk Road, known for enabling large-scale illicit drug (and other contraband) trade. In 2015 Ulbricht was sentenced to life in prison without parole. The Washington Post
On January 21, 2025, Trump granted a full and unconditional pardon to Ulbricht. Trump justified the pardon by calling Ulbricht’s original sentence “ridiculous,” saying it was a form of government overreach referencing support from the libertarian and crypto communities. The pardon sparked broad controversy, because the Silk Road was widely seen as a major drug-distribution hub and a “sophisticated and extensive criminal marketplace.” As of December 1, 2025, Trump issued a full pardon to Juan Orlando Hernández — the former president of Honduras — who had been convicted of drug-trafficking charges. Politico Around the same time, he granted clemency to David Gentile, a private-equity executive convicted in a large fraud scheme. The Guardian So America, how is that war on drugs going?
How many wars has Trump stopped?
Trump has publicly claimed that he “ended” or “solved” six, later seven, and as of late 2025 — even eight — wars. Well maybe
Armenia ↔ Azerbaijan
(Nagorno-Karabakh) Democratic Republic of the Congo
Rwanda Serbia ↔ Kosovo Thailand
Cambodia India ↔ Pakistan Egypt
Israel ↔ Iran
