Addiction isn’t just about substances—it can be behaviors too, like gambling, gaming, social media and even Trump. I post this statement for the betterment of the America I love.
It seems to me that more and more each day that the Trump Administration is stretching the lines of normalcy to reckless abandon.
Outside of what seems like daily protest it doesn't change the direction of the abuse. To some (say Trumpers) this is a daily orgasm of what they voted for, no matter what the end result would be to their lifestyle.
And to the other 70% of the nation we stand and ask
“How and what the fuck happened to America”
America has been normalizing Trump’s behavior in a few keyways—through politics, media, and public attitudes.
Republican Party Alignment: Many GOP leaders who once criticized Trump now defend him or stay silent, framing his behavior as just “how politics is now.” This reduces the stigma of breaking political norms.
Policy Over Behavior: Supporters often argue that results (judges, tax cuts, deregulation) matter more than character or conduct, allowing them to overlook actions that would have sunk earlier politicians.
Constant Coverage: Because Trump dominated the news cyclefor years, outrageous statements started to feel routine. What would once be a major scandal often fades within a day or two.
“Both Sides” Framing: Some outlets cover Trump’s actions as just part of political polarization, presenting them as one side of a partisan dispute rather than violations of democratic norms.
Desensitization: When people hear repeated falsehoods or inflammatory comments, they can start treating them as background noise. What was shocking in 2016 often barely raises eyebrows today.
Partisan Shielding: Many Americans view criticism of Trump as political attacks rather than serious ethical or legal concerns. This makes it easier for his supporters to dismiss issues.
Lowering the Bar: Comparing Trump only to himself (“at least this time he didn’t…”) sets a new, lower standard for presidential behavior.
So even when Trump extorts places like Harvad and other universities along with business of all sorts they keep kissing Trump's ass, in hopes he doesn't post something on his social media or talk about them in a press scrum. Really this is what we have allowed in our lifetime?
In his first 100 days of the second term, Trump signed nearly 1.5 executive orders per day, often with sweeping implications that bypass legislative debate. These concerns aren’t just political—they touch on the very architecture of American democracy. If you’re feeling alarmed or disillusioned, you’re not alone. Many people are grappling with what this means for the future of democratic governance.
But how did this happen?
Maybe it began as a way to cope, escape, or feel good—but now it feels like it’s running the show. That tug-of-war between “I want to stop” and “I can’t seem to” is a powerful signal. It’s called Addiction, Trump is Addicted to power at all costs. And until the other 70% of this nation including the courts realizes the ‘Fucking wheels are falling off” we are doomed
