The Real Cost of Those Eggs pt.26
Donald Trump has had longstanding problems with the media for several reasons, mostly rooted in how he has been covered and how he responds to criticism. He takes an unusually aggressive approach toward the press, often attacking journalists personally, calling them "the enemy of the people," and bypassing traditional media via social platforms to speak directly to supporters.
Trump has used conflict with the media as a political tool. By positioning himself as a victim of media attacks, he rallies his base and undermines critical reporting by casting doubt on its credibility. News organizations frequently fact-checked his statements, which often contained false or misleading claims. This scrutiny increased tensions, as Trump and his allies viewed it as biased or politically motivated.
As far as Trump’s labeling the news media as the "enemy of the people,". This phrase has a history of being used by authoritarian leaders to demonize and silence critics. Other figures who have used this language include dictators like Stalin, Hitler, and Mao, who used it to target journalists and other groups.
Enter John Miller (a.k.a. That faithful husband, Donald) . It seems that back in the go-go 70s & 80s, if things weren’t going right, Trump would call local New York papers to help push his bullshit along under the name John Miller—such an honest man.
Which brings us to.
Trump has taken steps to eliminate federal funding for NPR & PBS, citing concerns over alleged political bias and the use of taxpayer money to support what he describes as "radical, woke propaganda." This move aligns with broader efforts by Trump's administration to reshape public institutions and reflects ongoing tensions between the executive branch and media organizations.
So we are to start taking lessons from a man who has 31 Felonies against him, 6 bankruptcies, and the morals of a horny toad. Is it not bad enough that we are taking books off the shelves at our local schools because they might have the word or the idea of the GAY? I understand the Trump philosophy of “Keep them stuiped and scared and they will follow.” Ask John Miller.
