The Real Cost of Those Eggs pt.36
Like it or not, admit it or deny it
It has happened to all of us, weather you are exhausted from his daily
bullshit , or the constant worry of “What the fuck did he say now” or maybe it hearing Wolf blizer “Happing Now” on CNN. Scumbag has had influence on the American public, he has been profound and polarizing, reshaping not just political discourse but also cultural identity, media trust, and civic engagement.
I am old enough to remember when we used to talk with one another on CSPAN’S Washington Journal. Unfortunately for the last decade or so, no matter what topic, it always boils down to Trump. His rhetoric often emphasized division (e.g., “us vs. them” language), which many believe intensified political polarization in America. Trump frequently uses social media,, to attack opponents personally, labeling them with nicknames (“Crooked Hillary,” “Sleepy Joe,” etc.). This behavior influenced the tone of both political and social debate. His open criticism of institutions (the press, the judiciary, even parts of the military) is often blunt and confrontational, challenging traditional norms of presidential decorum, along with dignity.
Pew Research, Public Religion Research Institute, have indicated that many Americans believe public discourse has become less respectful and more rude, especially on social media. Some argue that Trump’s confrontational style emboldened others to speak and act more like him, with the attitude that if trump can do it so can I. This mannerism is expressed aggressively, especially in political or cultural debates. Many suggest that what’s seen as “rudeness” by critics is strategic—disruptive rhetoric that energized certain voter bases and challenged elite norms. On the other hand his supporters often view Trump's style as refreshingly direct and unfiltered, saying he "tells it like it is" and breaks through political correctness,” He speaks for me” they insist.
A 2017 PBS/NPR/Marist poll found that 70% of Americans felt political civility had declined since Trump’s election, across party lines In 2018 Marist survey echoed this: 70% reported a worse tone between Republicans and Democrats, blaming Trump (35%) and the media (37%).
An April 2025 Rasmussen Reports survey noted that 72% of likely U.S. voters believe political civility has gotten worse—just 12% think it’s improved. Removing Trump’s quotes reduced the shift by 40%, highlighting his outsized impact.
So have we been Trump?
Trump has “made America ruder”? Many would say yes, especially in terms of tone, incivility, and polarization in politics and public life. Others would argue that he exposed rudeness already present—or challenged polite conventions that they saw as masking deeper problems
Courtesy of the latest Supreme Court rulings they have managed give in to the Trump allure like the rest of the GOP and several institutions.
We here on earth one must remember that we have 12.1 million Americans on our side. We don’t allow a King or dictator on our planet.
We have our voice, the power of protest, and our vote, mid-terms are coming (I hope) just think one day the GOP will try to erase the last 10 years from the history books. Just like they are trying to do now.
